An Ottawa model’s natural guide to youthful and healthy skin

Take it from me: natural skincare makes a difference.

After working as a model and actress for many years, I noticed that the women who look and age the best are the ones who use all-natural products instead of toxic chemicals.

When new models ask me how to get started with their skincare, I always tell them to visit Kardish, pick up some natural ingredients, and whip together some DIY masks!

Try one of these 4 DIY face mask recipes for yourself! Simply mix up and apply for 20 minutes to start seeing the benefits of natural ingredients.

If it’s your first time using these products, you may want to test a small amount on the inside of your wrist for 20 minutes.

1. Vitamin C & Aloe Mask for Aging Well

Vitamin C is famous for its clinically-proven ability to neutralize free radicals, reduce signs of ageing, and hydrate skin. What you might not know is that Aloe Vera increases collagen production. Together, these two ingredients help keep your skin looking youthful and healthy!

  • ½ tbsp Kardish Vitamin C Crystals
  • 2 tbsp Aloe Vera gel

2. Oat & Honey Mask for Dry Winter Skin

Oats are the hidden skincare wonder hiding in your pantry! They are well known to be an excellent exfoliant and anti-inflammatory agent. Add some honey, pinches of cinnamon and cocoa, and a couple of drops of lavender essential oil for the moisturizing and soothing mask of your dreams.

  • 1 tbsp ground oats
  • 1 tbsp Unheated Raw Honey
  • 2 drops of Kardish Lavender Essential Oil
  • 1/4 tsp cocoa powder
  • 1 pinch of ground cinnamon

3. Avocado Oil & Raw Honey Mask for Hyper-Pigmentation

Avocado oil is wonderful for treating scars, signs of ageing, and hyperpigmentation. Don’t forget the lemon juice! This combo quickly and safely lightens dark hyperpigmentation.

  • 1 tbsp of  Kardish Avocado Oil
  • 1 tbsp of fresh lemon juice
  • Add water to make a paste

4. Apple Cider Vinegar & Oat Mask for Clear Skin

Your skin is naturally slightly acidic. Using apple cider vinegar can help rebalance its natural pH to improve the skin barrier and clear blemishes. It mixes well with the soothing properties of raw honey and oats!

  • 3 tbsp oats
  • 1 tsp Kardish Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1 tsp Unheated Raw Honey
  • ¼ cup hot water

It really is this easy. Visit your local Kardish today to get started.
