Gingerbread Sheet Pan Cake

A quintessential flavour that is always beloved at the holidays is gingerbread. Try this quick and easy festive twist on a fan favourite dessert with a pantry staple.

Ingredients:

  • 1 package Homestyle Pancake & Waffle Mix (680 g)
  • ¼ cup Dark Brown Sugar (55 g)
  • 1 tsp ground allspice
  • 2 tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 1 ½ tsp Ground Ginger
  • ½ tsp Ground Cloves
  • ½ tsp Ground Nutmeg
  • 3 cups Water (675 mL)

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 425 F° and line an 18 x 13-inch rimmed sheet pan with parchment paper or grease with baking spray.

In a large bowl, stir pancake mix, brown sugar and spices together until well combined. Add water and stir just until the batter comes together. Pour pancake batter into the prepared sheet pan and gently tilt in all directions, so the batter spreads into an even layer.

Bake for 20 minutes. Slice and serve warm.
